PAS2035 came into play on July 1st 2021 and marks a new industry specification. This transition is now the standard to which all energy efficiency installers must be certified and compliant. To continue accessing grant funding, the Thrift Energy team needs to ensure that your home is suitably ventilated before we install your insulation measure.
Condensation forms where warm, moist air in your home meets a cold surface. Over time, this can lead to mould growth which is damaging to your health in the following ways:
Condensation can also occur in the building fabric. Where this is left unresolved, it can lead to wet or dry rot. Wet rot forms in timbers and leads to the destruction of the wood requiring replacement of some or all of the structure. Dry rot will spread throughout the building requiring a full rebuild from foundations.
