We are operating as normal throughout the third lockdown

This past year has brought with it much uncertainty and anxiety, however, throughout it all, one thing has remained the same… You can rely on Thrift Energy. Although the country has been placed into a third lockdown, we’d like to assure you that we are still open for business!

Here at Thrift Energy, the safety of our customers and staff is our upmost priority, as is continuing to deliver a first-class service. It’s for these reasons why we are paying great attention to all government guidance and the necessary updates that ensue.

We know that this has been a scary time for everyone – especially when it comes down to letting someone new inside your home. In a similar way, however, having a heating or other house-related emergency can be stressful enough without the added worry of COVID-19. So, what if we said that Thrift Energy can meet both demands?

Social distancing

In line with current advice, we will aim to keep 2m apart from you and our colleagues wherever we can. Where this is not a viable option, a 1m distance will be kept, or we will work side-by-side or back-to-back rather than face-to-face in order to reduce the risk of any spread. Naturally, this means that we might have a reduced number of staff onsite at a given time, for your own safety. Designated teams have been created to reduce the level of contact within confined spaces.

Enhanced hygiene protocols

Here at Thrift Energy, we have implemented extensive mandatory hygiene routines. This includes regular hand washing, sanitising hands and surfaces, and cleaning workspaces and tools. It is our duty to keep our staff and customers safe – so you can rest assured these hygiene protocols will be carried out before entering any property.

If you are clinically vulnerable, government-advised ‘shielding’ doesn’t stop the risk of heating emergencies. In saying this, we will take all the necessary steps to increase our hygiene practices further, and completely limit all face-to-face contact. Our business always puts your needs first and we will do what we can to make you feel comfortable.

The use of masks

This, of course, includes the use of masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE). When inside an enclosed space, masks can drastically reduce the possibility of potential transmission, which is why we take them very seriously.
We are committed to providing you with the same high-quality service you know and love, especially through these difficult times. In 2018, 2.40 million households in England were classed as fuel poor, and we’re still devoted to significantly reducing this number despite ongoing circumstances.
We are here for you

On behalf of Thrift Energy, we would like to thank you for your continued support throughout this unprecedented time. We are committed to minimising the risk for all of our staff and customers alike, prioritising public safety at all times.

As we’re forced to spend longer in our homes this winter, it’s fundamental we keep them warm, energy efficient and cost-effective. For more information about our COVID-19 policies, or to book a service, call us on 0800 689 34 15. We are happy to reassure you however we can.
